Geographies of Resistance

This conference, taking place in the Harold Mackinder Lecture Theatre in the School of Geography and the Environment at the University of Oxford on Friday 15th February 2014, is intended to invigorate academic and activist discussion on the processes and forms of resistances to neoliberal inequalities and policies. Importantly, it does so across disciplines and research areas while connecting with practioners and activists working outside the academy and outside the dominant global north. It will open up space for alternative epistemologies and ontologies of capital, resistance and social change. The day will conclude with a keynote from Samir Amin.
