Dates and Themes now confirmed for the remaining Planned Violence Workshops!

The Planned Violence Working Group are delighted to confirm the dates and themes for the remaining workshops.

The Delhi Workshop is set to take place at Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi, India on 24 and 25 October 2014, and will address the topic of “Planning Modernity: Colonial Continuities, Postcolonial Disjunctions”.

The Johannesburg Workshop will take place at Wits Institute for Social and Economic Research (WISER) at Wits University, Johannesburg, South Africa, on 31 March and 1 April 2015 and is entitled “Building the Global South”.

On 24 and 25 September 2015 the Oxford Workshop, “The Cost of Urban Violence”, will take place at the English Faculty at the University of Oxford and will tie the themes from the preceding workshops together.

Finally, our Warwick lecture, which will feature a keynote lecture by Professor Eyal Weizman (Goldsmiths) and a photo exhibition, is set to place in mid-January 2016, with the exact date to be confirmed closer to the time.
